Step up pigs😈
Let’s play
So articles like this one are telling us it’s fine, things are gonna work out because hey look, JACK KIRBY AND JOE SIMON ACTUALLY MADE CAP DO THE NAZI THING IN THE WAY BACK WHEN:

So, we’re supposed to sit back and let the story unfold because hey look, there’s gonna be an AMAZING PLOT TWIST AND IT’S THAT CAP’S NOT REALLY A NAZI!

Tada! Cap was brainwashed! Just like Bucky! It’s gonna be okay, true believers!
But see, when you’re giving me bullshit like this:

(Source: moviepilot.com)
Yeah.
Not brainwashed.
Not a clone.
Not mind control.
Not somebody else acting through Steve.
Actual Steve Rogers. A goddamn scumsucking Nazi. This is what you’re telling us and you have the gall to sit back and laugh and say “let us tell the story, it’s comic books, it’s gonna be okay.”
I’m not a new comic reader. I read comics. I know it’s an ongoing soap opera. I know it’s a hit or miss deal. Some stories are brilliant and some are complete disasters (see: Spider Clone Saga).
I’ll make it simple - Jack Kirby and Joe Simon gave us a story about a brainwashed Cap who was not truly responsible for his own actions. Pretty much the Bucky Winter Soldier thing.
This Hydra Cap bullshit Nick Spencer and Tom Brevoort are giving us? Not even in the same goddamn universe as “okay/good/fine.”
So when I read about kids crying because their hero was suddenly taken away from them, I WILL NOT CALM MY TITS. THIS IS NOT CUTE. THIS IS NOT FUNNY. THIS IS NOT GODDAMN OKAY.

temporalequinox asked you:
Hi! I love your comic and I’ve been working on a vintage inspired story myself for the passed few years now, but I can never find a great source for clothing of the time period my story takes place in. Do you by any chance have an accurate source that you look to for reference?
nosunlightinthecity asked you:
I’m wondering where you researched 20’s fashion and style (and language!). My own foray lead me to nothing but cheap flapper costumes, but I’m hoping to be more put-together for this themed museum event. I’d love any nudge in a good direction. Thank you in advance!

Hi, guys! Here are some online places you can find authentic period clothing reference from the past 130 years or so:
I hope that helps.
